We will take you through practical sessions, workshops and lectures to gain an understanding of Pilates for ante & post natal women. The physiological, biomechanical and postural changes that occur during the childbearing year will be related to the adaption and application of APPI Pilates exercises.
The course content has been designed, filmed and is delivered to you by our Women’s Health Master Trainers and Experts (Biljana Kennaway and Emily Elgar) each part of your course has been broken down into manageable chunks for you to watch, stop, start and refresh over the 7 days that you have access for.
You have purchased a specific 7 day access to the course content and you will be notified and provided with the passwords for your course when this is live on your account to start studying.

To prepare for the course we firstly recommend that if you have attended APPI Matwork Level One that you review your manual to familiarize yourself with the Pilates principles of teaching.
Secondly, there is a reading list including the key articles that we recommend you read if you have not already done so prior to attendance on the Ante & Post Natal course. (you can find these in your course learner profile)
Thirdly, we recommend that you view the APPI Pregnancy Pilates DVD to become familiar with the APPI teaching style prior to the course.
To help prepare for the course, please note the checklist of suggestions:

Pilates Equipment
All of our courses are heavily practical based, and we ask that if possible that you have a Pilates Mat and Pilates Head Cushion or a towel that that you can roll up for both days, this is not essential for you to complete the course and gain your certificate of attendance.
Please ensure that you have a space that is clear of items so you can follow along with the practical elements of the class.
If you do have any other Pilates equipment please make this available for your course e.g. Pilates soft ball, Pilates band, Pilates magic circle.
The presenter will be demonstrating the modifications of the exercises and it is useful if you are able to experience all parts of the practical content, the full list of equipment that will be used in the course is below:
