The Arc Barrel features a gentle curve that helps decompress and lengthen the spine. It can be used on Matwork exercises to increase challenge or offer support during exercises, and it’s a great tool to assist rehab clients.

During this course you will learn a select series of APPI modified Pilates movements incorporating the Arc Barrel.  The Arc barrel is a highly versatile, space saving and cost effective piece of small Pilates equipment which compliments any Matwork program. These light weight and easily portable barrels can be used to increase or decrease the challenge to the body and are ideally used for rehab to assist Matwork exercises.

As the Arc Barrel Course is based solely on a Arc Barrel, please have this all ready and set up for your course.  It  is advisable to have these pieces of equipment ready.

Please ensure that you have a space that is clear of items so you can follow along with the practical elements of the course.

If you do have any other Pilates equipment please make this available for your course e.g. Pilates soft ball, Pilates band, Pilates magic circle.

** It is not essential for you to have this equipment to partake and complete the course.

 How long is the course?

The course will require around 17 hours of commitment between tutor contact hours, practice hours and observation hours.

ONLINE COURSE – (1 day course, 1 week access). When you purchase the Arc Barrel Course, you will have a Monday-Sunday access of your choice (Monday – Sunday 8am – 11pm UK time). Within this time you can watch, stop, start, pause as many times as you want.

Can I choose which dates I do?

You will have the option to choose which set of level dates you choose.

Is there an exam?

Yes.  After you submit your feedback form, you will have to take an exam to obtain your ‘Certificate of Completion’.  Once  you obtain your certificate, you will be redirected to APPI Health Group’s page to take your practical and theory exams.  The exam is a 50 minute practical and a 60 minute theory exam.  Both can be submitted online.   Students will only be a Certified Reformer APPI Pilates Instructor once completing the exam.

Can I do this course?

This course is for anyone who has attended a two-day Matwork course and Reformer Series completion with a recognized training provider

Cancellations and transfers are accepted with written notice 30 days prior to the start date. There is a admin fee of 20% of the original payment per cancellation or transfer. Once you are within 30 days of the course start date, no cancellations, transfers or refunds will be permitted.
