Course Content

This online seminar is designed to add variety and challenge to your Pilates programs by incorporating the Pilates Circle and Foam Roller. The Pilates Circle is a small resistance ring that can be used to engage the global muscles when progressing your programs and classes and will add a strength and endurance component to your Pilates teaching. The Foam Roller, like the Circle, is a versatile piece of equipment which will enable you to incorporate balance, coordination and sequenced movement patterns into your rehabilitation program. Both pieces of equipment are useful adjuncts to any rehabilitation program.

Learning Objectives

Following this online course you will be able to:

  • Incorporate balance, co-ordination and sequenced movement patterns into your rehabilitation program
  • Use beginner through to advanced stretching, mobility and proprioception exercises
  • Progress matwork based exercises by adding resistance
  • Add strength and endurance to your Pilates programs through the addition of the Foam Roller and the Pilates Circle.

In order to complete this course you must have attended APPI’s Pilates for Rehabilitation – Matwork Level One course or a 2 day Pilates Matwork course with a recognized Pilates training provider.

We recommend that you have the following equipment in order to get the most out of this online course:

1 x Pilates Circle

1 x Foam Roller

1 x Pilates Soft Ball

1 x towel

1 x Mat
