Biljana Kennaway (MCSP, MPOGP) APPI Master Trainer in Women’s Health
Biljana started her education in Croatia and gained BSc in physiotherapy in 2002 in London. Before specializing in women’s health, Biljana mainly worked within musculoskeletal teams of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Queen Mary’s and Imperial College Hospitals in London as well as the private sector. Additionally, she worked in Prof Alison McGregor’s research team on a rehab study following spinal decompression. She has experience in setting up and running modified Pilates classes for low back pain in adults and children, ante- & post-natal rehabilitation and incontinence. Apart from her rehab background, Biljana worked for Maternally Fit in London as a fitness instructor for almost 3 years, running fitness training for expectant mothers at different levels.
In 2009, Biljana moved to Switzerland where she initially worked in a private clinic in Nyon and subsequently established BK Pilates Therapy in Geneva offering rehab and sports specific Pilates and HIIT classes for individuals and at corporate and NGO/UN offices. In partnership with Espace Parinatalle and Famille, she also presents workshops on raising the awareness of continence and ante and postnatal period. Biljana is also APPI Master Trainer in Women’s Health and has been teaching APPI matwork courses in the UK and internationally since 2009. In 2015, she became APPI’s representative of Pilates education for healthcare professionals in Switzerland.
