‘I have found the APPI education and approach so beneficial toward patient care, and it has completely changed the way I treat patients and progress their treatment. While I do not teach any specific APPI Pilates classes, I incorporate the exercises and techniques into almost every treatment at this point, particularly for neck, shoulder, and low back patients. Patients have responded very well to it, the progressions make them feel successful, the imagery we used in describing techniques has made communication much more clear, and the cues are so useful in making the exercises effective and specific. It is hands down the most effective course I have taken in my career as a PT, and would highly recommend it to others.’
Anna, San Francisco (Certified APPI Matwork Pilates Instructor)

‘The program has been very successfully. I judge this success by the fact that over the last two years the only people who no longer come have either moved, changed work schedules, or had other medical problems. I have three APPI Pilates classes with a total of 25 people. Most of the participants are in the 60 to 80 age with a few in the 40 and 50 year group. Around half of the participants came from our physical therapy dept. The other half came from word of mouth. We do not advertise outside the dept. I have observed the following results from holding these classes.

  • They have made friends
  • Their balance is improved
  • Posture has improved
  • They have a better understanding of body movement.
  • They feel more confident about moving .
  • Their overall fitness has improved’

Beverly Holt, Connecticut (Certified APPI Matwork Pilates Instructor)
